Concert Series

Field Notes

A concert series for music in public spaces. Recent editions presented in partnership with the Vancouver Public Library, transforming the familiar places of the library into resonant sites of shared listening & reflection.

Invisible Rivers

A concert series for imaginative sounds, weaving together new poetics of the pipe organ. With Invisible Rivers, the organ is heard not as a monument frozen in time, but as a fluid archive in which centuries of musical, technological, and symbolic currents converge and unfold.

Radical Traditions

A yearly concert featuring local gamelan ensembles and guest performers from Indonesia. The title ‘Radical Traditions’ is a tribute to the late composer I Made Subandi, who was a mentor and friend to us and who evoked the idea of radical tradition (tradisi radikal) to realize so much beautiful and exciting music; music that has immense power for articulating the contemporary moment, existing in conversation with other influences from around the world while carrying forward what he saw as vital to gamelan.
